We are seeking a loving home for our nearly 4-year-old (November 22) Australian Shepherd/Labrador mix, Sky. Once he trusts you, he is a dream in the household, and you can do everything with him. However, he is very anxious during walks or when meeting strangers. He barks, growls at strangers, and pulls on the leash. We have tried unsuccessfully to manage this since puppyhood with multiple trainers. It seems to be his character, and you can't change that. He can only stay alone for short periods due to his anxiety. With our household having two children with increased care needs and my parents being very frail due to age, we are now seeking a home with dog experience and love for Sky. There should be no children in the household, as it stresses him greatly, which is why he has lived with my parents for the past year. We absolutely do not want him to go to a shelter, as it would harm his lovable nature. Sky needs a lot of time, patience, and love, more than other dogs. We have tried for 3 3/4 years, but with our current living situation, we can no longer provide him with the care he needs. Wesen: Wolf im Schafspelz Wir suchen ein liebevolles zu Hause für unseren knapp 4 Jahre (November 22) alten Aussiedorrüden Sky. Wenn er einmal vertrauen gefasst hat ist er im häuslichen Umfeld wirklich ein Traum, man kann alles mit ihm machen. Bei Spaziergängen oder auch Besuchern ist er jedoch sehr ängstlich. Er bellt, rüpelt Fremde an und hängt in der Leine. Erfolglos haben wir seit dem Welpenalter versucht dem ganzen Herr zu werden mit mehreren Hundetrainern. Es scheint Charakter zu sein, und den ändert man bekanntlich nicht. Auch alleine bleiben kann er aufgrund seiner Ängstlichkeit nur kurz. Da in unserem Haushalt 2 Kinder mit erhöhtem Pflegeaufwand leben und auch meine Eltern aufgrund ihres Alters gesundheitlich sehr angeschlagen sind, suchen wir nun ein hundeerfahrenes, liebevolles zu Hause für Sky. Es sollten keine Kinder im Haushalt leben, das stresst ihn sehr, deshalb hat er das letzte Jahr bei meinen Eltern gelebt. Wir möchten keinesfalls das er ins Tierheim kommt, das würde seiner durchaus liebenswerten Art schaden. Sky benötigt viel Zeit, Geduld und Liebe, mehr als andere Hunde. Wir haben es 3 ¾ Jahre versucht, aber mit unseren jetzigen Lebensumständen können wir Sky nicht mehr so gerecht werden wie er es braucht.
