Adopt Sol

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 5 years

Sol starts to shine at the shelter. This adorable kitten was picked up from the street, along with her sister Luna, with the intention of neutering and returning them. However, the caretaker didn't dare to do it after realizing they were too trusting to survive on the streets and asked for our help. At first, it broke our hearts to see her running away and being a bit scared of us, but it has also been beautiful to see how her curiosity gradually won over. First, she stopped hiding to peek at every step we took around her, and then, thanks to her sweet friendship with our bold Curry, both of them started following us everywhere until we can't take a step without bumping into both of them... Today, we can say that we see Sol happy, playing without fear, and even approaching volunteers to eat from their hands. We would like to take the next step and find her a good family, one that with patience (because she will still be a bit shy at first) and lots of love, can teach her what a good life truly is. She is healthy (negative tests), dewormed, chipped, vaccinated, and neutered. She can travel to other provinces. Personality: Shy but affectionate, she loves playing!. This animal was abandoned.

About Sol

What life with Sol looks like

Sol is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Gatas Salvajes in Seville.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sol, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sol?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Gatas Salvajes handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sol on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sol if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Gatas Salvajes will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sol already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sol isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Gatas Salvajes early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sol and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
