Sol

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Sol can travel directly to her own home! Her story: The little Sol had a tough start in life. Together with her mother Amberly and her eight siblings Lira, Benedict, Knopf, Rocky, Mikado, Miro, Smyrna, and Kira, she was found homeless on the street. Without help, the little family would have barely survived, but fortunately, they were rescued in time. Now, Sol can recover in a Romanian foster home and eagerly awaits the day she will move into a loving home. At about 3 months old, Sol is still a real puppy, full of curiosity and joy. Her beautiful beige fur with a black snout and her sweet black-and-beige spotted ears make her a special sight. Her dark button eyes sparkle with joy, and with her playful, friendly nature, she melts every heart. Sol has not yet experienced life in a house, and things like house training or leash walking are still foreign to her. But with loving guidance and patience, she will surely learn all of that quickly. She is a clever little puppy girl ready to explore the world. In a few months, Sol will enter the exciting phase of puberty—a time when she might question everything again. But with patient, consistent training and a loving family by her side, she will develop into a wonderful companion. Who will give Sol a warm dog bed and a home where she can grow up protected? Even a foster home that eases her transition into life as a family dog would be a great help. Have you fallen in love with the sweet mouse? Then feel free to contact us! A big thank you to Sophie, who gave Sol her name and thus her identity. As of 06.04. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Dann melde dich gerne! About Sol

What life with Sol looks like

Sol is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sol, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sol?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sol on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sol if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sol already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sol isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sol and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
