Alvia, La Voix Des Animaux Female, spayed, vaccinated Breed: Bichon mix Weight: 9 kilos SOUNA, FROM THE CARDBOARD BOX TO OUR HEARTS ❤️ Sometimes, a single look is enough to tell a story. Souna's gaze left us deeply moved. We found her some time ago, huddled under a cardboard box in a street corner. She was nothing but a small trembling shadow, dirty, terrified, and weighing just a few kilos. Her fate seemed sealed, but the kindness of the volunteers at the association Alvia, La Voix des Animaux, changed that. Today, the little Souna we rescued from such a sad fate is unrecognizable. She is a young female dog born in January 2023 who has turned her fear into a remarkable capacity to give love. She has regained her confidence and her weight, and now proudly tips the scales at 9 kilos of pure affection! ✨ Who is Souna? ✨ Souna is a true gem, a heart of gold on four paws. Sociable: She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and children. She's an ideal companion for a family! Cuddly: She LOVES being petted and could spend hours being pampered. Playful and active: Don't let her past fool you, Souna has energy to spare! She has her little bursts of craziness, when she loves to run and play. For her happiness, we are looking for a loving family with a garden where she can burn off energy and fully enjoy her new life. Souna has already done the hardest part: surviving and learning to trust again. Now, all she needs is a warm home to begin the most beautiful chapter of her story. What if it could be yours? Female, spayed, vaccinated

About Souna

What life with Souna looks like

Souna is a young adult bichon frisé dog waiting at Alvia La Voix Des Animaux in France.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Souna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Souna?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Alvia La Voix Des Animaux handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Souna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Souna if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Alvia La Voix Des Animaux will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Souna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Souna isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Alvia La Voix Des Animaux early rather than rehoming privately; they know Souna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
