Hello, my name is Stacy. I am a beautiful tortoiseshell girl with an estimated date of birth of 11 June 2022. They found me on the street and then brought me to the shelter. I still find you humans quite exciting. It will take quite a bit of time, lots of patience, attention, and sweet words to get me used to you. Oh, and regularly having something tasty in a little bowl helps too. They call it wet food here. I live here with fellow cats in a room. I often sit with them or nearby, and I feel safe with them. The other cats help me get familiar with the staff and volunteers here. I also like calm approaches and gentle voices. As long as you don't put any pressure on me and don't try to force everything too quickly. We cats have a motto: what is forced will be twisted. When I move to my forever home, I hope my human(s) will understand exactly what I have told you. That they know what I need to be happy, and that hiding spots are created in the house. That in my new home there is already a calm, sociable cat or person companion. Then a good, gradual introduction is important for this change. They may also adopt me together with another kitty (or kitties) from my room. At the moment I am getting Royal Canin Exigent kibble. A gradual transition to a different kibble in my forever home is possible, provided I eat it well. Dogs and children in the house are too boisterous for me in their enthusiasm. Are you the one who truly understands me? Can you offer me what I need to be happy? Do you have enough time, patience, and attention for my socialization? Hallo, mijn naam is Stacy. Ik ben een knap schildpadpoesje met een geschatte geboortedatum van 11 juni 2022. Ze hebben mij op straat gevonden en daarna naar de opvang gebracht. Jullie mensen vind ik toch nog wel erg spannend. Daar is nog wel genoeg tijd, veel geduld, aandacht en lieve woordjes voor nodig om mij aan jullie te laten wennen. Oh, en ook regelmatig lekkers in een bakje draagt daar aan bij. Natvoer noemen ze dat hier. Hier verblijf ik met soortgenoten in een ruimte. Daar zit ik wel vaak bij of in de buurt, en voel ik me veilig bij. De andere katten helpen mij om vertrouwd te raken met de medewerkers en vrijwilligers hier. Rustige benaderingen en stemgebruik hou ik ook wel van. Zolang je maar geen druk op me legt en te snel alles gaat forceren. Wij katten hebben een motto : iets wat dwingt dat wringt. Als ik ga verhuizen naar mijn forever home hoop ik dat mijn baasje(s) precies begrijpen wat ik zonet allemaal heb verteld. Dat ze weten wat ik nodig heb om gelukkig te zijn en in huis schuilplekjes worden gecreëerd. Dat in mijn nieuwe huisje al een rustige kat/mens sociale soortgenoot is. Dan is een goede gelijkmatige introductie belangrijk voor deze verandering. Ze mogen mij ook met een andere katje(s) uit mijn ruimte adopteren. Momenteel krijgt ik Royal Canin exigent brokjes. Een geleidelijke overgang naar een andere brok in mijn forever home is mogelijk mits ik dit goed eet. Honden en kinderen in huis zijn in hun enthousiasme te druk voor mij.
