Steve & Stuart

Mixed Breed · Male

Can live with:To be rehomed together Steve and Stuart arrived to us due to living in unsuitable conditions. There owner had over 100 rabbits!! We have taken in 9 of them. Steve is the agouti and Stuart is a light harlequin. They are young male rabbits we have neutered, chipped, vaccinated and wormed them. All 9 rabbits were thin when they arrived but are gaining weight nicely now. They like to be nosey to see what we are doing. They love food and treat time. They think veg time is amazing and have been known to eat from the same cabbage leaf. Since arriving with us they have learnt to roll around a toy ball, to play with toys and how to use a litter tray, nearly!!! . It’s a work in progress. They both like their head being stroked. They are getting better with handling and more stroking. They are enjoying space and their own environment. They could be homed inside or outside. They will need a run area to burn off their energy

About Steve & Stuart

What life with Steve & Stuart looks like

Steve & Stuart is an adult mixed breed rabbit waiting at RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex in United Kingdom.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

Frequently asked

Adopting Steve & Stuart, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Steve & Stuart?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Steve & Stuart on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Steve & Stuart if I live in another country?
Sometimes. Whether a rabbit can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Steve & Stuart already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
What a rabbit comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex directly what is included and what Steve & Stuart still needs.
What happens if Steve & Stuart isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex early rather than rehoming privately; they know Steve & Stuart and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
