Storm came to Farplace on 21 June 2014, when he was just three months old. When he first arrived, he was a very shy and frightened little boy, but with plenty of patience, kindness and love, he’s grown into a super, super friendly cat who absolutely loves a cuddle. He’s basically a big, friendly black panther with the personality of a teddy bear. Storm may still be a little shy when you first meet him, but once he gets to know you, he’s incredibly affectionate and loves spending time with people. He’s now an older boy and has reached the stage in life where his idea of a good day is finding somewhere comfy, warm and sunny to have a nice long chill. Storm has no teeth, which means you’ll quite often spot him with his little tongue poking out. As you can see from his photographs, this is both ridiculously adorable and very funny. Storm has had some health problems in the past, including thyroid disease, which unfortunately made him quite poorly at the time. He underwent a thyroidectomy over a year ago, and thankfully he’s made a brilliant recovery. Since having his surgery, he has remained in good health and has had no further issues. He’s a very easy-going boy who likes being around other cats, but he isn’t particularly attached to any one cat. Because of this, we think he could happily live with other friendly cats, or potentially be rehomed as an only cat, provided his new person is around quite a bit and happy to give him plenty of company. Storm really is just a lovely, gentle older boy who wants somewhere peaceful to settle down, a cosy bed, a sunny spot and somebody to give him a good cuddle. We’ll also provide you with a full copy of his veterinary records to keep for your own records when he goes off to his new home. Indoor-only policy If you feel you could offer Storm the right home, please email for an adoption questionnaire. We can then arrange a home check. We are happy to consider homes up to around two hours’ travel from the rescue. Any further than this can make it difficult for us to offer the support we feel is important after adoption.
