adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this dog now! The poor Strubbel is a very special dog and we are searching for very special people for him. At the moment, Strubbel is waiting in Romania for a new life with loving people who will open their hearts to him and offer him a life worth living. Unfortunately, we know nothing about his history, and Strubbel cannot tell us what happened to him. We do not know how he could have sustained such serious injuries that he originally could barely move. So far, we have not received a definitive diagnosis for Strubbels paralysis, but we hope very much that a qualified veterinary treatment will significantly improve his quality of life. In the meantime, he can, although wobbly, at least go, although he often collapses to the side. We have promised the brave Strubbel that we will do everything we can to find him a good place, because even a handicapped dog deserves a happy and cared-for old age. Strubbel is already about 11 years old. With his fluffy, black-brown fur, which does him proud, and his black button eyes, he is a very handsome, medium-sized dog. He loves being petted by friendly people, enjoys being pampered, and gets along well with fellow animals. Strubbel has a practical size and fits well into a quiet home with particularly patient and confident people – as long as he is loved and cared for and they are willing to accommodate Strubbels handicap. For the handsome male dog, although affected by his paralysis, does not want to be pitied but should be offered appropriate movement, variation, and as many dog encounters as possible. Also, physiotherapy will likely still be necessary for Strubbel. Therefore, we wish for Strubbel very animal-loving and positive-thinking adopters who have the strength and energy to work on improving his health condition and to promote and challenge him appropriately. Strubbel needs a place where his handicap is handled with expertise. That is why we would also be very happy about a foster home or a mercy spot for the poor guy. Are you perhaps the right person for the brave Strubbel? Then contact us! Strubbel can travel to his new home with an EU pet passport microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He is named after Kyra D., the namesake, with our heartfelt thanks to Kerstin and Axel D.! You support Strubbel with a monthly sponsorship! As of: 26.08.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Strubbel

What life with Strubbel looks like

Strubbel is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Strubbel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Strubbel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Strubbel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Strubbel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Strubbel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Strubbel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Strubbel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
