Sunny Toni

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 9 years

Profile: Age: born around 2017 Gender: male neutered: yes Character: friendly, calm Size: approx. 52 cm In shelter since: April 2022 Here we would like to introduce our Sunny Toni. Originally, the whole world should have been open for the wonderful male dogs. But he himself is not yet convinced of that. At first, he was very overwhelmed by the situation in the shelter and was bullied by other dogs. That's why he withdrew more and more. But in another pen, things went differently. Now he is doing well and is open to approaching others. That Sunny Toni has made such progress in an environment like the shelter is already a great achievement. How would he then develop if he were to arrive in the security of a family? You understand that a dog in a new home has to build trust first? Then we would be very happy if you gave Sunny Toni this chance. He deserves to finally arrive and experience the beautiful sides of dog life. If you are interested in Sunny Toni, please fill out our Prospective Owner Form ( ) or write us an email or a message on Facebook. Sunny Toni is ready to travel and can travel to Germany with the next transport. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. Traces refers to the database system with which the entire animal transport within the EU is monitored. The dogs travel neutered (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and have an EU passport. Additionally, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is carried out for dogs over 12 months old before travel arrangements: Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Dirofilariasis, and leishmaniasis. The sponsorship for Sunny Toni has been taken over by Martina S. and thus ensures a full plate. Many thanks on behalf of the dogs!

Steckbrief Alter: geb. ca. 2017 Geschlecht: männlich Kastriert: ja Charakter: freundlich, ruhig Größe: ca. 52 cm Im Shelter seit: April 2022 Hier möchten wir unseren Sunny Toni vorstellen.

About Sunny Toni

What life with Sunny Toni looks like

Sunny Toni is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sunny Toni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sunny Toni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sunny Toni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sunny Toni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sunny Toni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sunny Toni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sunny Toni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
