Susi

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Peace at last, delicate soul… Her story: The sweet Susi was rescued from an abandoned house along with her three siblings. Attentive people discovered the small dog group and alerted the authorities – so Mala came to the dog catchers and eventually into our care. Susi is a lovable, approximately 3-month-old female dog with light, fluffy fur and a brown face with a white snout. Her cute floppy ears make her seem even softer than she already is. She is expected to be of medium size. Susi gets along well with her fellow animals but has not yet developed much trust in humans. Therefore, we wish to find loving people for Susi who can show her, with much patience, how wonderful a dog life can be – with peace, time, and a safe environment. The dog's first lessons can be learned step by step. A positively working dog training class can help her new companions become a great team. You should not be discouraged by the pubertal phase when the little ones sometimes question everything they have learned. We cannot currently say how she gets along with cats. We also cannot rule out that she might have bloodhound genes – which could become noticeable once she warms up. These dogs require competent and reliable leadership and should be allowed to follow their instincts through activities like fetch and hide, agility, or similar, to avoid underexertion and related problems. Susi travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She is not yet neutered due to her young age. In her luggage, she will have an EU pet passport. A positive foster home would be a first step towards a happy life for her. Do you want to give this sparrow a safe home? Many thanks to Isabelle! You gave Susi her name and thus the chance at a happy home. Status: 21.09.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Ruhe in Frieden, zarte Seele… Vielen Dank an Isabelle! Stand: 21.09.2025

About Susi

What life with Susi looks like

Susi is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Susi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Susi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Susi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Susi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Susi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Susi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Susi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
