Adopt Sylvester

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Pascal is a handsome, 3 year old medium-sized boy, currently waiting in kennels in Worcester for the right home to come along. He’s a dog with a lot of love to give, but he just needs a little time and understanding to show it. When Pascal feels safe, his affectionate and playful personality really shines. He enjoys cuddles, will happily lean into you, and even wraps his paws around your arm for attention. He’s a sweet, loving companion once he trusts you. Pascal can be unsure when meeting new people, especially men, and may bark or seem nervous at first. Because of this, he will need a few meets before going home so he can build a bond and feel comfortable. With patience and kindness, he quickly starts to relax and show his true nature. He walks well on the lead and even responds to his name as well as a few commands He gets along well with other dogs and would particularly benefit from living with a calm female dog, as he takes confidence from them. He enjoys their company and will happily follow their lead. Pascal is best suited to an adult-only home, as his nervousness can make him unpredictable around children. He would thrive in a calm, understanding environment with owners who are willing to go at his pace and help him continue building confidence.

About Sylvester

What life with Sylvester looks like

Sylvester is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at O.U.R. Dog Foundation.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Romanian rescues handle the highest volume of cross-border adoptions in the EU. Animals are quarantined and fully vetted before transport. Reputable rescues maintain detailed health records and post-adoption follow-up.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sylvester, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sylvester?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. O.U.R. Dog Foundation handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sylvester on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sylvester if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — O.U.R. Dog Foundation will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sylvester already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sylvester isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with O.U.R. Dog Foundation early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sylvester and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
