Adopt Pascal

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

After spending around a year in the kennels in the UK, our special boy Herbie is ready for his final move at 4 years old! Herbie has been moved twice due to his severe anxiety, and when he first arrived, he was completely shut down. Simple things — like a new bed, a collar, or human touch — were overwhelming for him. But with time, patience, and gentle encouragement, Herbie is much more like the dog we knew in Romania! Recently, our volunteers visited him at the kennels. Herbie walked right up to one of our team, Beth (who he had never met), and jumped up for cuddles minutes later. It was really heartwarming to see how far he has come. He’s walking well on the lead now and slowly gaining confidence every day with the help of his dog pals at the kennels. He will need a family who can commit to meeting him at the kennels in Worcester multiple times prior to taking him home to ease his transition. His perfect home would be female only, and no children as he is easily overwhelmed. Herbie thrives with smaller female dogs to show him the way in a rural or semi-rural environment. He isn’t spooked by noises like cars anymore but will need a garden as he will likely take a step back in confidence when he moves for a little while. In the home, he will need his own area that is low traffic to retreat to and decompress if needed - a spare room would be perfect!

About Pascal

What life with Pascal looks like

Pascal is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at O.U.R. Dog Foundation.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Romanian rescues handle the highest volume of cross-border adoptions in the EU. Animals are quarantined and fully vetted before transport. Reputable rescues maintain detailed health records and post-adoption follow-up.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pascal, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pascal?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. O.U.R. Dog Foundation handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pascal on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pascal if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — O.U.R. Dog Foundation will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pascal already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pascal isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with O.U.R. Dog Foundation early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pascal and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
