Tango & Mango

Unknown · Young · 1 year

These two brothers have been brought into our care because their previous owner could no longer care for them. They are both sweet and gentle in nature and are good friends. They are used to living indoors, with time outdoors when the weather is nice. The minimum setup size needed is 160cm x 60cm or 5 x 2 C&C cage. However, as always, the bigger, the better! Male guinea pigs can sometimes be reluctant to share resources, so we recommend having two of everything.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tango & Mango, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tango & Mango?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Thornberry Animal Sanctuary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tango & Mango on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tango & Mango if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Thornberry Animal Sanctuary what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Tango & Mango already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Thornberry Animal Sanctuary directly what is included and what Tango & Mango still needs.
What happens if Tango & Mango isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Thornberry Animal Sanctuary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tango & Mango and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
