adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Tash is now ready for her own forever home. After a bumpy start in Germany, the pretty Tash now lives in our Stray Nest and can be visited there at any time with prior arrangement. A personal meeting multiple times is important so that human and dog can get to know each other in peace. Tash is no "simple" puppy – but a very special one. Her sweet face, the special black-and-white fur pattern, and her cute appearance give her a unique charm. Once she has gained trust, she shows herself to be cuddly, loyal, smart, and very people-oriented. If she is not pressured, she opens up on her own and even likes to take treats. She is also curious and open-minded towards other dogs, showing great interest. With her cagemate Souraya, she immediately formed a friendship and oriented herself to her during their joint outdoor time. Foreign people, especially men, still unsettle her in such situations. She barks or growls to create distance. She is also unsettled by new environments at first, so she needs experienced and very empathetic people who can remain calm, guide her safely, and give her time to gain trust. An only dog would be ideal in her new home, where she can orient herself. She had already learned to walk on a leash, and there was no problem with familiar places and familiar people. Currently, she is being trained to get used to car rides and visitor situations with positive reinforcement. She is likely a mix with a hunting dog. She does not just want to be exercised but, above all, understood. Her future people should be prepared for the possibility that she may develop ratter-type characteristics later. Therefore, they should ideally have experience with hunting dogs and be able to offer her a more rural home. Originally, Tash came from Romania, Baia Mare. She was found on the street with her six siblings Greta, Silas, Fietje, Kimba, Lakota, and Ulky, along with her mother Lykke, and was brought to safety. Have you already fallen in love with the sweet Tash? Then feel free to contact us. After positive Tash is microchipped, vaccinated, and has an EU pet passport. We thank our namingsponsor Fabienne H. for giving Tash her name and thus her own identity. As of: 26.04.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Tash

What life with Tash looks like

Tash is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tash, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tash?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tash on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tash if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tash already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tash isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tash and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
