He is a lovely, affectionate boy with a sweet nature and plenty of love to give. Sadly, Teddy’s previous owner is unwell and as a result, is no longer able to care for him. Teddy is currently staying in kennels, patiently waiting for his new family to come along. He is generally in good health. At present, he is taking medication to help manage his anxiety, which appears to have developed or increased during the difficult circumstances surrounding his previous owner’s illness and the changes in his life. We hope that, with the stability, routine, reassurance and love of a permanent home, Teddy may become more settled and confident over time. The Red Foundation will provide medical support if this is needed. Overall, Teddy is a sweet and loving dog who deserves a patient, understanding home that will give him the care, stability and affection he needs. Teddy is house-trained and travels well in the car. He could also live with sensible, dog-savvy children aged 10 years and over who can understand and respect his needs. Teddy is generally comfortable around other dogs and is usually unbothered by them on walks. He can stay at home alone for up to four hours once he has been gradually introduced to being alone.
