Reggie NOTTS Adoption fee is £250 5 years old Tweenie (9kg) Black and tan dapple dachshund Male – neutered Reggie is a friendly and loving dog who is sadly looking for a new home as his current home is unable to give him the calm, quiet environment he needs in order to thrive. He is gradually becoming quiet and withdrawn due to all the changes and it is breaking their hearts! Reggie is a well-socialised and friendly boy who enjoys visitors to the house and loves attention. He enjoys cuddles and walks and his favourite pastime is having his ball thrown for him. He is a perfect gentleman when people visit his home and may bark when somebody knocks at the door but welcomes visitors with no problem, and he loves going to a dog sitter where he is given lots of fuss and cuddles. Reggie has lived with a cat previously but not another dog, so he could potentially live with a dog-savvy cat. Outside the home, he can sometimes bark at other dogs if they get too close and can pull on his lead towards them; he is friendly with another family dog but can get a bit anxious if the other dog goes near his food, so this would need to be managed carefully if his next family has another dog. Reggie is in good health. He has had issues with his anal glands but this is currently managed by ensuring they are expressed every six months or so and through his diet. Reggie is housetrained and currently sleeps in a crate. Once settled, he can be left for up to four hours on occasion. Reggie is an easy-going little dog who will be a lovely addition to most families. Please get in touch if you think you can give him the loving home he deserves.
