Testimonial from Téani's adoptive family Posted on December 21, 2019 December 21, 2019 by Brigit Bali renamed Téani, adopted at 2 years old at the end of 2016, in a wonderful family that knew how to tame her and give her confidence. Another successful adoption with an adult cat. Her story: Bali was abandoned and wandered in an apartment building hallway. The caretaker fed her, but the residents did not at all appreciate her presence. As a result, feeling that this could turn very badly for this adorable little cat, the caretaker contacted the association. We immediately took her in. And some time later ... A family fell in love with her!! The testimonial from her adoptive family: It was planned, as soon as we moved we would adopt a loving pet. Julie absolutely wanted a female. So be it. I had a preference for an adult cat because they also deserve love. So we looked at several sites and we came across Bali. A beautiful tri-color little cat. We renamed her Téani, which means caress in Polynesian and it suits her very well. After 48/72 hours of fear and anorexia, Téani went on a discovery of our huge lof ... no, our small 40 m². I think today corners and hideaways have no secrets for this mischievous one who is both affectionate, playful, curious and shy. In the morning, Madame lives her life in the apartment. She follows us everywhere, eats ... but forbids us to touch her. She runs to hide while making sure we follow her. Hide and seek is her passion! In the evening she alternates between asking for cuddles, resting on our laps and moments of madness, running and various games. Her fishing rod suffers daily from her sharp teeth. She hunts her little balls like no one else. Then she rushes to devour her ham or tuna. Madame still resists eating kibble (but we are getting there!) and don't even get me started on pâtés which she absolutely rejects (so we gave up). At night Madame sleeps on the duvet between us, if not on us. She purrs with pleasure (very loudly!!) and she is so cute that we dare not make her leave. Today we can say that Tété is at home ... and we are also at home. It's a ball of love that is still shy when there are guests but gradually comes to meet them during the evening. She is easy to live with, full of life. In short, this little cat is all happiness!

How do I contact the shelter about Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de TEANI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. École du Chat de Drancy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de TEANI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de TEANI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — École du Chat de Drancy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de TEANI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de TEANI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with École du Chat de Drancy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de TEANI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
