Bingo

German Shepherd · Male · Young · 1 year

Breed: German Shepherd. Gender: male / neutered. Age: born. 14.02.2021. At the animal shelter since 01/2024. Character: shy, excited. Special features: aggressive towards other dogs. Dog experience required: yes. Hello! I'm Bingo! I came here after being bought on eBay. The buyers brought me here the same day because they were overwhelmed, as I don't like other dogs. The people here welcomed me immediately and I really like them now. My regular walker comes very often and shows me the forests around the animal shelter. The only thing I don't like are fellow animals, that's why I sometimes wear this cool muzzle. It doesn't bother me at all. On the contrary, when I see it I am always happy because I know we're going outside. The lawn is my favorite place. There I can run like a race mouse and dive headfirst into the water. After I'm wet, it's the best feeling to shake myself right next to the people! Then we are all wet together, it's cool. I also like balls. My people say I shouldn't play with them because I'm practically obsessed. Also, the muzzle doesn't work very well. On the lawn I then often eat a lot on overgrown sticks and branches. The basic commands and walking on the leash I do perfectly, even outside. My recall is great, even when I see other dogs! That's why the people here are so enthusiastic about me. I like them all very much, but I would like a real home again. Naturally without other dogs, with teenagers or something like that I would have no problem in principle. This email address is being protected from spambots. About Bingo

What life with Bingo looks like

Bingo is a young adult german shepherd dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Rosenheim in Rosenheim.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bingo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bingo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Rosenheim handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bingo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bingo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Rosenheim will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bingo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bingo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Rosenheim early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bingo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
