Titana

Female · Adult · 5 years

Titana - a gentle giant who wants to arrive at last Titana is about five years old and arrived at a Spanish animal shelter in September 2026. Her condition suggested that she had not received the care she desperately needed for a long time. She was extremely emaciated upon arrival and also had eye problems. Titana is a true treasure. She is extremely friendly, affectionate and attached to the people who care for her. She enjoys attention and affection and shows that despite her difficult start, she has not lost trust in people. As a large Mastin Napoletano, Titana naturally has an imposing appearance - but in her heart she is a gentle and lovable female dog. We are looking for a home for her that is worthy of her size and offers her enough space. A house with a securely fenced outdoor area would be ideal, so Titana can enjoy the fresh air and rest in peace from time to time. We wish Titana people who consciously choose a large female dog and show her with patience, responsibility and a lot of love how beautiful a dog life can be. She should finally experience what it feels like to be cared for and loved. Titana probably has not experienced much good in her life so far. Now it's time for her life to finally turn around and find her very own happy ending. Click here for Titana's video

About Titana

What life with Titana looks like

Titana is a large adult dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Titana, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Titana?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Titana on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Titana if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Titana already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Titana isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Titana and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
