Tito

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten

Tito is a playful and curious kitten who wants his forever home with good outdoor opportunities when he is big enough. He can live with children, other cats and dogs. I am a playful and curious little guy who loves to explore everything around me. I am confident and tough, and my hunting instincts are definitely in place - so far I have caught two flies all by myself! I will be a super family cat. I was found alone on the street when I was around ten weeks old, but now I live safely and well in foster care and waiting for some nice people who will adopt me. I would love to run around, explore and hunt - my favorite toy is a regular school pencil, and I never get tired of it! When I calm down, I find it nice to be picked up and stroked, although I would rather be in full activity. I also have a little habit I am quite fond of: I love to suck on hair. I get along very well with other cats, so I can easily move into a home with a cat friend. I just have to admit one little thing - I am a bit too fond of climbing in Monstera plants, so they should probably be put out of reach.

About Tito

What life with Tito looks like

Tito is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Dyrebeskyttelsen Oslo in Oslo.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tito, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tito?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dyrebeskyttelsen Oslo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tito on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tito if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dyrebeskyttelsen Oslo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tito already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tito isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dyrebeskyttelsen Oslo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tito and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
