Are you looking for a young and handsome dog by your side, who longs more than anything for patient and open-minded people who will earn his trust and offer him an appropriate dog life? Then the black Togo might just be the perfect match for you! Togo is an eye-catching and athletic young dog who hopes for a new chance at the Public Shelter in Baia Mare. We hope very much that he can leave the shelter as soon as possible, because he suffers greatly from the limited movement and engagement opportunities here. Unfortunately, we do not know how Togo spent his previous life, but we assume it was not a good one, because Togo is currently insecure and somewhat skeptical of people. Outside of the kennel, he is friendly, but his behavior in the kennel is more distant, and his body language is not easy to read. The young dog does not seem to be fully convinced by our good intentions yet, and the kennel is simply too small and cramped to give him the security to be able to flee in case of need. But Togo is young and very smart and longs for a better life. We are full of hope that with more space, much peace, and patience, we can touch his insecure soul, and therefore seek experienced and patient people to adopt him and free him from his unfortunate situation. Togo is approximately 60 to 65 cm tall and is only about 1.5 years old. He has black, scruffy fur with a small white spot on his chest and a beautiful, attentive face. With a deep brown gaze, he looks into our camera. Whether Togo gets along with other dogs has unfortunately not yet been tested. Togo is likely a Terrier-Schnauzer mixed breed. Dogs of this type are usually attentive, intelligent, and active. They often bring a certain independence, but work well with their people. Terrier and Schnauzer mixed breeds are lively, curious, and want to be both physically and mentally stimulated. With clear, loving, and consistent guidance, as well as varied mental stimulation, they can develop into happy, loyal, and very entertaining companions. Probably, Togo has not heard of the life of a well-bred house dog. Leash manners and house training are as unfamiliar to him as commands and behavior rules in the house. Age-appropriately, he might still be in the important development phase of puberty and would urgently need patient but consistent training. Therefore, we wish him that he will soon find understanding people. The smart and motivated dog will hopefully learn all the rules if he is trained with much loving consistency and empathy. After the adjustment period, a visit to a positively working dog training class would contribute to stimulating Togo both physically and mentally and strengthen his self-confidence. We wish for dog-experienced adopters for the handsome male dog who will take the time to learn Togo's body language, not to pressure him, but to make repeated offers of approach and patiently wait for him to open up and build trust step by step. Togo's adopters should be able to work patiently on his self-confidence and trust, have time for cuddles, but most importantly for much mental stimulation with the young dog, and stand by him as a strong and consistent partner. Togo ist ein junger, fröhlicher und ausgesprochen menschenbezogener Rüde, der im Public Shelter von Baia Mare auf seine Chance wartet. Obwohl das Leben dort von Lärm, Enge und fehlender Beschäftigung geprägt ist, hat er sich seine gute Laune bewahrt. Umso mehr wünschen wir uns, dass er bald die Möglichkeit bekommt, das Shelter hinter sich zu lassen und die Welt an der Seite seiner eigenen Menschen zu entdecken. Über Togos Vergangenheit wissen wir leider nichts. Wie viele Hunde in Rumänien wurde er irgendwann von den Hundefängern aufgegriffen und ins Shelter gebracht. Was davor war, können wir nur vermuten. Heute zeigt sich Togo jedoch als freundlicher und offener Hund, der gerne Zeit mit Menschen verbringt. Togo ist etwa 2 Jahre alt und misst rund 65 cm Schulterhöhe. Mit seinem schwarzen, leicht strubbeligen Fell, dem kleinen weißen Brustfleck und seinen hellbraunen Augen ist er ein echter Hingucker. Seine sportliche Figur und sein aufmerksamer Blick verleihen ihm eine besondere Ausstrahlung. Menschen gegenüber zeigt sich Togo ausgesprochen freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Er freut sich über Aufmerksamkeit und sucht den Kontakt zu seinen Besuchern. Seine fröhliche Art macht es leicht, ihn ins Herz zu schließen, und man merkt schnell, wie sehr er sich nach einem Leben außerhalb des Shelters sehnt. Wie Togo mit anderen Hunden zurechtkommt, konnte bisher leider noch nicht getestet werden. Aufgrund seines Erscheinungsbildes könnten Terrier- oder Schnauzer-Anteile in ihm stecken. Hunde dieser Typen gelten häufig als intelligent, aktiv und lernfreudig. Sie möchten sowohl körperlich als auch geistig beschäftigt werden und entwickeln bei passender Auslastung oft eine enge Bindung zu ihren Menschen. Vermutlich kennt Togo das Leben in einem Haushalt bisher nicht. Stubenreinheit, Leinenführigkeit, Alltagsgeräusche und feste Abläufe werden für ihn wahrscheinlich neu sein. Mit seinem freundlichen Wesen und seiner Offenheit bringt er jedoch beste Voraussetzungen mit, all diese Dinge Schritt für Schritt zu lernen. Togo befindet sich noch im jungen Erwachsenenalter und hat sein ganzes Leben noch vor sich. Seine zukünftigen Menschen sollten Freude daran haben, gemeinsam mit ihm zu lernen, aktiv zu sein und ihm die Welt zu zeigen. Eine positiv arbeitende Hundeschule kann dabei eine wertvolle Unterstützung sein und gleichzeitig die Bindung zwischen Mensch und Hund stärken. Für Togo wünschen wir uns liebevolle und aktive Menschen, die ihm genügend Beschäftigung, Zuwendung und Sicherheit bieten können.
