male Bichon Born ca. 2020 Found animal neutered [] yes / no In the animal shelter since 07.05.2026 ________________________ The little Toto was picked up in the evening on the road that leads from Oberweimar to Kehna, just before Kehna, as he was running freely on the street. All circumstances point to the fact that he was abandoned. Toto is a very affectionate dog, loves his trusted people more than anything, immediately seeks a cuddle when he gets used to someone, and can never get enough of it. He generally suits well as a family dog, but children should be gentle and considerate in their dealings with him. He seems to have a bit of a catch-up in socialization, but he is generally clever, alert, and would be very happy not only to be understood as a little white snuggle dog but also to be mentally challenged and supported. In certain situations of strong pressure and manipulation, such as during a vet visit or the treatment of an ear infection he brought with him, Toto can sometimes become hysterically panicky. Here, we wish for him calming handling and also the gradual building of more relaxation through "Medical Training." Toto is very sovereign and exceptionally compatible with female dogs and could very much like to be a second dog. With neutered male dogs, he shows himself also cool, but with unneutered boys, he likes to make a scene. Outdoors, Toto accompanies his people well on the leash, can sometimes also be a bit stubborn and obstinate. Toto obviously has large loss anxieties. Upon arrival with us, he bellowed almost non-stop for days, even weeks, as long as he could not be in direct proximity to a primary caregiver. In the meantime, he has more trust in his situation and is more relaxed. However, his home should be aware that being left alone with him is likely not a self-runner and must be set up well. With a calm female dog at his side, it would probably be much easier! At our place – perhaps also motivated by the many other dogs, especially male dogs – Toto tends to mark everywhere in the inner yard. reserviert männlich Bichon Geboren ca. 2020 Fundtier Kastriert [] ja / nein Im Tierheim seit 07.05.2026 ________________________ Der kleine Toto wurde abends an der Straße, die von Oberweimar nach Kehna führt, kurz vor Kehna aufgegriffen, da er frei an der Straße lief. Alle Umstände deuten darauf hin, dass er ausgesetzt wurde. Toto ist ein sehr anhänglicher Hund, liebt seine Bezugspersonen über alles, wird sofort zum Schmuser, wenn er sich an jemanden gewöhnt hat und kann dann gar nicht genug kriegen. Er eignet sich grundsätzlich gut als Familienhund, Kinder sollten aber sanft und rücksichtsvoll im Umgang mit ihm sein. Er scheint ein bisschen Nachholbedarf in der Sozialisierung zu haben, zeigt sich aber grundsätzlich clever, aufgeweckt und würde sich sehr freuen, nicht nur als kleiner weißer Kuschelhund verstanden zu werden, sondern auch mental gefordert und gefördert zu werden. In bestimmten Situationen starker Bedrängung und Manipulation, z.B. beim Tierarztbesuch oder bei der Behandlung einer Ohrentzündung, die er mitgebracht hat, wird Toto mitunter hysterisch-panisch, hier wünschen wir ihm beruhigenden Umgang und gerne auch kleinschrittig den Aufbau von mehr Entspannung durch „Medical Training“. Toto ist sehr souverän und ausgesprochen verträglich mit Hündinnen und könnte sehr gerne als Zweithund ausziehen. Mit kastrierten Rüden zeigt er sich auch cool, bei unkastrierten Jungs macht er aber gerne Theater. Draußen begleitet Toto seine Menschen gut an der Leine, kann dabei manchmal auch etwas eigensinnig und stur werden. Toto hat offensichtlich große Verlustängste. Nach Ankunft bei uns hat er tage-, sogar wochenland fast ununterbrochen durchgebellt, solange er nicht in direkter Nähe einer Bezugsperson sein konnte, inzwischen hat er mehr Vertrauen in seine Situation und ist entspannter. Dennoch sollte sein Zuhause beachten, dass das Alleinebleiben bei ihm vermutlich kein Selbstläufer ist und gut aufgebaut werden muss. Mit einer entspannten Hündin an seiner Seite wäre es aber vermutlich nochmal viel einfacher! Bei uns – vielleicht auch motiviert durch die vielen anderen Hunde, besonders Rüden – neigt Toto dazu, überall im Innenzwinger zu markieren. Wir wünschen Toto, dass er bald verantwortungsbewusste, liebe Menschen findet, die ihn nicht im Stich lassen! ________________________ (Stand 29.04.2026) (Bilder anklicken um sie in voller Größe zu sehen!)
