Unvergessen When you must bid farewell to your companion, do so with good thoughts of the shared time. What remains is not just sorrow. What remains is the joy of the time experienced, the gratitude for the paths that crossed, and the affection that never fades. In memory of Arun *11.12.2013†10.03.2026 Arun was brought to the animal shelter by his former owner, a hunter, together with a Galgo hound. The dogs had been given to him, and now he no longer had a use for them. His solution: euthanasia. Arun was unsettled, fearful, and very cautious around people. Yet it took only a few days for him to begin to curiously explore the world around him. He relaxed, allowed for first approaches, and began playing with the other dogs. Arun was always a reserved, sensitive character, very friendly with fellow animals, and clear in his communication. He did not have to wait long. His home was found at the side of a Galga, which needed a companion just like he did: friendly and clear, sovereign and unobtrusive. Two dogs that simply fit together. From the new owner, we received images showing an at-ease Arun. Arun, who woke up. Arun, who discovered new sides in his dog life. Each photo a small gift that let us and our Spanish animal friends share in his happy ending. Arun was 12 years old. He had a home, a family, a companion. From the dog that someone thought dispensable, to a dog that was loved. 2,773 days with his family, and not a single one was taken for granted. Thank you, Arun, for trusting. For opening up. For showing us what is possible when one does not give up but always remains curiously forward-looking.

In Erinnerung an Rosalie * 20.02.2013 † 20.05.2026 Eine Galga, auf der Straße gefunden, ins Tierheim gebracht. Ausgesprochen zutraulich und lebhaft, sozial mit anderen Hunden, verspielt und neugierig, freundlich und offen. Wir haben ihr den Namen Tashi gegeben. Trotz all ihrer guten Eigenschaften musste sie lange warten, bis es nach Hause ging. Aber nach 414 Tagen war es soweit ! Sie durfte nach Deutschland reisen und ihrer Lebensfreude endlich freien Lauf lassen. Ihre Halterinnen gaben ihr einen neuen Namen: Rosalie. Sie nahmen sie liebevoll auf in den Kreis der Familie, mit Hund und Katze. Rosalie war ein wunderbarer, intelligenter und lernwilliger Windhund-Mix. Sie hat ihre Menschen fast 12 Jahre lang begleitet und wurde 13 Jahre alt. Am 20. Mai 2026 ist sie verstorben. 4.290 Tage bei ihrer Familie und kein einziger davon war selbstverständlich.
