URKO was fed by our girls over several weeks until he could finally be secured with a live trap. URKO is a bit shy, but not a classic scaredy-dog. He was brought directly to our animal clinic, and unfortunately, the blood test confirmed the suspicion: URKO is positive for leishmaniasis, filaria, and ehrlichiosis ☹ URKO is currently in our small animal shelter, but we have found a foster home nearby, and we can start his filaria treatment. He shows clingy behavior in the animal shelter, seeking the proximity of the people he already knows. Within two weeks, his skin condition has already improved significantly; he is getting good food and is gaining more life every day. It will take some time until URKO can be rehomed, but we would like to introduce you to this lovable fellow now. All of our dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, tested for Mediterranean diseases, dewormed/treated for fleas, and neutered with an EU pet passport.

Urko wurde von unseren Mädels über mehrere Wochen angefüttert, bis er dann endlich mit einer Lebendfalle gesichert werden konnte.Urko ist etwas scheu, aber kein klassischer Angsthund. Er wurde direkt in unsere Tierklinik gebracht und leider hat sich im Blutbild der Verdacht bestätigt: Urko ist positiv in Leishmaniose, Filaria und Ehrlichiose ☹Urko ist erstmal in unserem kleinen Tierheim untergekommen, bis er eine Pflegestelle vor Ort gefunden hat und wir mit der Filairien-Behandlung beginnen können. Er zeigt sich im Tierheim anhänglich und sucht die Nähe von den Menschen, die er bereits kennt. Innerhalb zwei Wochen hat sich sein Hautbild schon enorm verbessert, er bekommt gutes Futter und gewinnt jeden Tag an Lebensfreude. Bis Urko ausreisen kann, wird es noch eine Weile dauern – vorstellen möchten wir euch diesen liebenswerten Kerl aber jetzt schon ? Alle unsere Hunde werden gechipt, geimpft, auf Mittelmeerkrankheiten getestet sowie entwurmt/entfloht mit EU-Heimtierausweis vermittelt, und mit entsprechendem Alter kastriert.
