Valea-2

Female · Puppy · 3 months

Valea, a small and energetic Hungarian mixed-breed dog, was found abandoned in Kecskemét on August 12, 2026, along with Kellgos. She was brought to the animal shelter, but there was no one claiming her, and no one came to take her home. It is likely that she was abandoned, but we don't know for sure. She is not microchipped, and now she is waiting in the shelter for loving people to come and take her in, support her, and show her how wonderful life can be as a beloved family dog. Valea and Kellgos do not have to be adopted together. Valea is a little sunshine, a whirlwind. She is a sweet, agile, cheerful, lively, and friendly puppy who is sometimes unsure in new situations, but she loves people and enjoys attention and affection, soaking it up like a sponge. She is still learning the basics of dog behavior, and her new owners will have to teach her everything she needs to know to be a family member. Valea is a diamond in the rough, still needs to be polished to become a great companion, but she will certainly bring joy to her future owners, as she has all the qualities of a loyal companion. Her new owners should be aware of what it means to take in a young dog and the responsibility they will have for a long time. Valea would appreciate mental and physical exercise, adapted to her age. She gets along well with her fellow dogs, lives in a group of young dogs, and loves to play and romp with her kennel friends. We are looking for a loving home for our enchanting Valea, with great people who will welcome her forever. Dog enthusiasts who will give her all the love, care, and security she so desperately misses and has probably never experienced before. Beautiful walks, fun, games, lots of cuddles, a soft, warm place to sleep, enough rest, dog-friendly activities, and her own people who will go through thick and thin with her - that is what Valea wants with all her heart. Who will discover the world with Valea? Currently, Valea is too young for spaying/neutering, which her new owners will have to arrange when she is old enough. At the same time, her umbilical hernia will need to be surgically corrected. The estimated final size is 42-52 cm and 15-24 kg, but Valea is only 33 cm and 6.5 kg as of September 1, 2026. Since Valea is a mixed-breed dog, you will need to inform yourself about the housing conditions in your canton if you are interested in her. Valea can travel around the end of September 2026 if she finds a home or a foster home.

DE·Show original

About Valea-2

What life with Valea-2 looks like

Valea-2 is a small puppy/kitten dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Valea-2, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Valea-2?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Valea-2 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Valea-2 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Valea-2 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Valea-2 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Valea-2 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
