Vanesa sa našla na ulici Železiarenská v Košiciach, v mestskej časti Šaca. Keď k nám prišla, bola špinavá, mala množstvo bĺch a bola veľmi unavená. Prvé dni bola Vanesa veľmi vystrašená. Bála sa nového prostredia, ľudí a spočiatku sa jej nechcelo ani vychádzať z boxu. Potrebovala trochu času, aby pochopila, že je v bezpečí. Našťastie jej stačilo len pár dní a postupne nám začala ukazovať svoju skutočnú povahu. Teraz je z Vanesy veľmi milá, priateľská a kontaktná fenka, ktorá ľudskú spoločnosť doslova miluje. Rada vyhľadáva pozornosť, užíva si každé pohladenie a najradšej by bola stále pri svojom človeku. Keď sa k niekomu pritúli, len tak ľahko sa od neho nepohne. Je to veľká maznáčka, ktorá si blízkosť človeka naozaj užíva. Vanesa je veselá a hravá fenka, ktorá má rada aj spoločnosť ostatných psíkov. So psami aj fenkami vychádza bez problémov a rada sa s nimi hrá. Psí kamarát by jej preto mohol robiť spoločnosť aj v novom domove. Manipulácia s ňou je bezproblémová, no pri prudkých pohyboch sa ešte občas zľakne. Na vôdzke niekedy prudšie trhne alebo viac potiahne, preto bude potrebovať pokojný prístup a postupné učenie peknej chôdze na vôdzke. Vo vnútornom prostredí sa správa slušne a má osvojené hygienické návyky. Vanesa si stráži misku s jedlom pred ostatnými psami. Pri kŕmení preto potrebuje svoj pokoj a priestor, kde ju nebudú ostatné psíky vyrušovať. Vanesa je vhodná do bytu alebo rodinného domu s úplným prístupom dovnútra. Hľadáme pre ňu milujúcu rodinu, ktorá jej dopraje dostatok ľudskej spoločnosti, pravidelné prechádzky, spoločné aktivity a pocit bezpečia. Hoci sa Vanesa za krátky čas veľmi pekne osmelila, pri niektorých situáciách je ešte trochu citlivá. Potrebuje preto láskavých a trpezlivých ľudí, ktorí jej doprajú čas a pomôžu jej postupne získať ešte väčšiu istotu. Teraz už jej chýba len vlastná rodinka, pri ktorej bude môcť byť spokojná a milovaná.
