🐾 Mag ik mij even voorstellen? Ik ben Velvet…Misschien ben ik niet het soort katje dat meteen naar je toe komt gerend. Misschien verstop ik me eerst. Misschien blaas ik zelfs eens naar je als ik je nog niet vertrouw. Maar geloof me… ik ben niet boos. Ik ben gewoon een beetje bang. ❤️Ik ben Velvet, een jonge mama van ongeveer één jaar oud. Samen met mijn kittens kwam ik bij de opvang terecht. Mijn leven heeft me geleerd om voorzichtig te zijn met mensen. Als ik iets spannend vind, trek ik me terug of laat ik met een klein blaasje weten dat ik liever wat afstand houd. Maar dat betekent niet dat ik agressief ben. Ik heb gewoon tijd nodig om te ontdekken dat ik veilig ben.En ondertussen heb ik al ontdekt dat mensen soms best fijn kunnen zijn. 🥰Ik woon nu bijna vier maanden bij mijn opvangmama. In het begin hield ik vooral afstand. Maar beetje bij beetje kwam ik dichterbij. Vandaag neem ik snoepjes uit haar hand en mag ze mij aaien. En ik moet toegeven… dat vind ik eigenlijk best wel lekker. Ik zal waarschijnlijk nooit een echte schootkat worden. Maar als ik me veilig voel, kan ik duidelijk genieten van een rustig aaitje.En snoepjes? Daar mag je mij altijd voor wakker maken. 😋Mijn opvangmama zegt dat ze in mij nog zoveel meer ziet. En misschien heeft ze wel gelijk. De eerste grote stapjes heb ik bij haar al gezet. Nu heb ik vooral iemand nodig die mij niet vraagt om sneller te gaan dan ik kan. Iemand die begrijpt dat vertrouwen niet op één dag ontstaat, maar dat elke kleine stap ontzettend waardevol is.En gelukkig heb ik mijn zoon Vic. ❤️Vic is mijn kleine dappere mannetje. Waar ik twijfel, gaat hij op onderzoek. Waar ik schrik, blijft hij vrolijk spelen. Ik trek me enorm hard aan hem op en ik ben er zeker van dat hij ook in mijn nieuwe thuis een positieve invloed op mij zal hebben.Daarom willen we samen geplaatst worden.Mijn opvangmama droomt ervan dat ik nooit meer een leven op straat hoef te leiden. Ik heb al zoveel meegemaakt en ik verdien nu eindelijk een vijfsterrenhuisje. Een rustige plek waar niets moet. Waar ik mezelf mag zijn. Waar ik niet verplicht word om mensen meteen te vertrouwen, maar waar ik op mijn eigen tempo mag ontdekken dat mensen ook liefde, warmte en veiligheid kunnen betekenen.Een thuis waar Vic en ik gewoon… kat mogen zijn. 🐾Misschien zal ik nooit de kat zijn die op elke bezoeker afstapt. Misschien blijf ik altijd een beetje voorzichtig. Maar als jij bereid bent om mijn vertrouwen rustig op te bouwen, beloof ik je dat je de mooiste kleine overwinningen zult mogen meemaken.Een snoepje uit je hand. Een eerste aaitje. Een ontspannen blik. Een spinnetje. En misschien op een dag… kom ik zélf naar jou toe.Mijn opvangmama heeft mij al laten zien dat ik dat kan.
