Op veel Griekse eilanden, zoals ook op Lefkas, is het zwerfhonden probleem groot, met name puppy dumping, met of zonder moeder. Gelukkig zijn er altijd zeer bevlogen dierenliefhebbers die zich dagelijks inzetten voor de arme dieren. Sinds ruim vijftien jaar biedt ‘Little Friends Lefkas’ hulp aan dieren in nood. Ella is samen met haar broertje Guy en zusjes Dixie en Bonnie in een doos achtergelaten voor de ingang van de dierenartspraktijk. Ze waren toen 2 maanden oud. Geschatte geboortedatum is 25.11.2025. Ella weegt nu (22.6.2026) 24 kilo en ze is circa 56 centimeter schouderhoogte. We denken dat ze rondom de 28 kilo zal gaan wegen. De ouders zijn niet bekend dus dit is een inschatting. Ella is een lekker blij ei. Altijd vrolijk en erg sociaal, zo geniet ze echt van het ontmoeten van nieuwe mensen zeker als Ella mee mag gaan wandelen. Ze is super goed met (wat oudere) kinderen maar springt ook nog weleens op. Gelukkig leert ze heel snel en dus ook dit zal ze zeker welwillend oppakken als haar geleerd wordt wat wel of niet mag. Naar andere honden toe is ze ook heel sociaal en ze loopt katten gewoon voorbij. Ella vindt knuffelen altijd heerlijk en dat is dan ook haar moment. Ella's mooie blik laat je smelten, haar kortharige meerkleurige vacht is een lust voor het oog en haar vrolijke karakter maken haar tot een echte fijne toevoeging aan eenieders leven. Voor haar zoeken we een liefdevol thuis het liefst met een tuin, veilig omheind, zodat zij heerlijk kan spelen en buiten kan zijn. En waar Ella zich voor altijd thuis en veilig voelt. Zij zal natuurlijk hier in Nederland nog wel aan alle nieuwe dingen moeten wennen. Zo zijn de geluiden van druk verkeer van (vracht)auto’s, fatbikes nieuw, net als de deurbel, televisie of bijvoorbeeld een slaande klok. De ontdekkingsreis in ons land vraagt natuurlijk tijd en geduld van de adoptant. Wie biedt Ella een liefdevol thuis waar zij voor altijd mag blijven? U zult geen spijt krijgen van dit blije ei.
