Wallace

Male Β· Adult Β· 4 years

Wallace is a cracking boy, with so much potential. He would thrive with a fun and active family who will enjoy sharing adventures and long walks. He may need some support as he settles into home life and learns how to settle and relax when home alone. Wallace may also need some help with things like housetraining too. This wonderful boy has so much love to give and will be an amazing addition to any home! Wallace is a handsome 4 year old Boxer x Rotti. He's super clever and loves to learn new things and showing off what he knows for a trick or two. His favourite thing is toys and he'll happily greet you with his favourite soft and squeaky ones paired with his waggy tail. Wallace could live with upper primary aged children who are confident around large and bouncy dogs. Wallace has been making some doggy friends here and we think he could share his new home with another dog following a meeting here at the centre, but he does prefer calmer dogs as he can be worried when they're over the top.

About Wallace

What life with Wallace looks like

Wallace is a large adult dog waiting at Dogs Trust Kenilworth in Kenilworth.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible β€” a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wallace, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wallace?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Kenilworth handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wallace on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wallace if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Dogs Trust Kenilworth will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Wallace already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wallace isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Kenilworth early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wallace and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
