German Shepherd · Female · Adult · 5 years

WANDA - yearns for affection - female dog, German Shepherd, 5.5 years old, born ca. October 2020, SH 52 cm, 15 kg, neutered, vaccinated, MMK tested, microchipped, neutered, EU-Pass. - Waiting in Spain! - We do not know the exact date, but when we found her, she was less than a year old. She arrived very frightened at the animal shelter, but over time, she won the trust of all the helpers. She is a medium-sized dog, very elegant, and can live well with other dogs. Her Story: The little WANDA was found on the street in a city in Seville. Two girls from the same city fed her for days and spread the warning on social media. We got in touch with Refugio Escuela Marlene to pick her up. Although she was very frightened, the car ride was enough to win the trust of the two volunteers who came to pick her up. When she was dropped off at the animal shelter, she began to cry out for affection. Like the character with the same name in Marvel, WANDA also has superpowers: she can conquer anyone with a single glance. She is a dog who is very dependent on human affection, she loves to eat in company, and she makes a drama when you stop stroking her. If you have fallen in love with WANDA and want to help her find a home, contact us!! She comes dewormed, neutered, vaccinated, MMK tested, microchipped, neutered, and with an EU-Pass. About WANDA

What life with WANDA looks like

WANDA is a medium-sized adult german shepherd dog waiting at Tier-Not-Hilfe in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting WANDA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about WANDA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tier-Not-Hilfe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw WANDA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt WANDA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tier-Not-Hilfe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is WANDA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if WANDA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tier-Not-Hilfe early rather than rehoming privately; they know WANDA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
