adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Wella is a lovable female dog who apparently has a lively past. She was picked up by dogcatchers on the streets of Romania and now lives in the Public Shelter in Baia Mare. We don't know exactly where she came from, but it's not hard to imagine that she experienced many fears and challenges during this time. Even though she is now in the shelter, this place represents a great stress for her sensitive and sensitive dog soul. We hope very much to find her a patient and loving home soon, where she can be shown that life also has beautiful sides and where she can settle in at her own pace. With her approximately 8 years of age and a shoulder height of about 43 cm, Wella is a medium-sized female dog. Her predominantly dark brown fur with lighter legs, her white snout, and her expressive, worried eyes emphasize her gentle demeanor. Wella is a very accommodating female dog and gets along well with both male and female dogs. In the kennel, she shows friendliness and kindness, takes treats gently from the hand, and can be trained with a leash with some patience. However, in new situations, she is still shy and fearful. If she feels pressured, she begins to cry and seeks protection by retreating. Many impressions are still unfamiliar to her, and it is likely that she has not yet fully processed experiences from her past. Additionally, Wella suffers from asthma, which should be considered in her future home. A quiet environment and careful attention to her health are therefore particularly important. It is likely that Wella is not yet familiar with life in a home and must learn the dog 1×1 step by step. House training, leash manners, basic commands, or car rides will be new to her. With patience, loving consistency, and understanding companionship, she will be able to master these tasks. Attending a dog training class that works with positive reinforcement could be a valuable support here. Wella wishes for a quiet, loving home with empathetic people who will give her the time to build trust and settle in at her own pace. A warm dog bed, security, and reliable trusted people – that's all she needs to finally find peace and enjoy her life. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Zudem leidet Wella an Asthma, was in ihrem zukünftigen Zuhause berücksichtigt werden sollte. Vielen Dank Uwe W.! Du unterstützt Wella mit einer monatlichen Patenschaft! About Wella

What life with Wella looks like

Wella is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Wella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
