adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Wolle has found a home! Wolle was able to move into a foster home and is now waiting there for his big luck! His story: Hey, Stop! You've forgotten Wolle! Wolle was found together with his siblings Jason, Nadja, Butch, Maddy, and Easy. Their mother, Aurica, was also there. Except for Wolle, all of them have already found their homes… Only our cute black and white boy was left alone behind. Why was the awesome male dog always overlooked? Wolle is an approximately 2-year-old male dog, with a nice, medium size. He brings everything that makes a great travel companion: he is active, friendly, playful, curious, and still has plenty of mischief in his bag! Wolle is about 55cm tall and weighs around 25-30 kg. He probably has a bit of extra weight at the moment, as dogs gain weight in the winter to survive the cold temperatures. With his beautiful fur pattern and the sweet spots on his nose, he is a real looker. When we visited him at the shelter in October, he was thrilled and his whole body wiggled as he hopped around the shelter, wanting to greet us all 🙂 But Wolle always looks sad through the bars… Because he never gets out of there. He has to sit in the shelter 24/7, 7 days a week, waiting to finally be seen… This makes us very sad and we hope that we can now help him to a happy life. Wolle is looking for people who don't expect anything from him at first and show him how a normal dog life works. He is still a young dog and has a lot to learn. He is already looking forward to his new life with beautiful nature walks, many snuggling hours, and also a visit to the dog training class. Puberty is behind him and Wolle is ready to start his new life. Our Wolle is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He brings his EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive assessment. Who falls in love with this cute puppy? A foster home would also be very helpful for him! Many thanks to Sunny W.! You named Wolle! Date: 08.01.

Vielen Dank Sunny W.! Du hast Wolle seinen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 08.01.2025

About Wolle

What life with Wolle looks like

Wolle is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wolle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wolle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wolle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wolle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Wolle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wolle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wolle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
