Woody

Mixed Breed Β· Unknown Β· Young Β· 1 year

Woody is a sweet young dog who desperately wants to find her own family. 🀍 She was found on a field. She was pregnant, which is why rescuer Madalina took her in. Fortunately, she was able to find a shelter where she could receive further care. Woody is now taking her next step: a home of her own where she can receive all the attention and love she deserves. She currently lives with a caretaker, but there are already many dogs in the apartment. Therefore, it is important that Woody finds her own place as soon as possible. A family where she can not only temporarily stay, but where she can truly become part of the family. She is about 47 centimeters tall and weighs around 16 kilograms. This makes her a beautiful medium-sized dog. Woody also gets along well with other dogs. She also gets along well with cats. In addition, she loves people and enjoys being with them. Despite her difficult start, this sweet dog still has so much to give. Fortunately, she now has people around her who help her and care for her. However, it would be the best if she could find her own bed soon. A place where she can rest, receive love, and finally start her new life. Woody is ready for someone who wants to give her a real chance. Maybe her new family is waiting for her somewhere without her even knowing it. Are you the one who wants to give Woody a loving home and show her how wonderful it is to finally belong somewhere? Woody is looking for a nice home. Size: approx. 47-50 cm at adulthood / approx. 16-18 kg at adulthood. Born: estimated December 2025. Neutered: Yes. Location: Constanta, Romania. Cats: unknown. Horses: unknown. Temperament: sweet, social, friendly, affectionate. We think Woody can develop into a nice family dog with your help! She is already doing well with her caretaker in Romania, but she will also have to get used to a new living environment. Her new owner must be patient and will need to guide her well in this. Are you seriously interested in Woody? Then fill in the intake form, this does not obligate you to anything. After receiving the intake form, we will contact you as soon as possible. About Woody

What life with Woody looks like

Woody is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Stichting Help een Hond in Netherlands.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡³πŸ‡±Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Woody, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Woody?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stichting Help een Hond handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Woody on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Woody if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Stichting Help een Hond will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Woody already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Woody isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stichting Help een Hond early rather than rehoming privately; they know Woody and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
