Yuri

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Our white sweet Fellnase, is approximately 3 years old and lives on a foster home in Romania together with other dogs and cats. He especially enjoys playing with other dogs. Yuri is described as an introverted male dog. He is friendly, charismatic, and is a quiet young pup who still has much to learn. For him, a house or an apartment with a garden and fenced yard would be a dream, of course, he can also move into an apartment without a garden. He should simply get the chance to run through fields and wander through forests, to settle into a comfortable home and receive the love he deserves. With Yuri, we have noticed that he very much models himself after other confident dogs and feels safe there. Therefore, we would like to place him as a second dog in a nice family. Unfortunately, the start of life for the little one has already been a difficult time. Due to his past experiences, it is particularly hard for him to be separated from trusted people. This is expressed in prolonged crying, and he suffers a lot in such situations. However, he has never destroyed anything. This must be worked on with great care and a lot of patience. Yuri knows how to drive a car and interestingly, he also has less trouble being left alone in the car. A joint visit to a dog training class could be a great experience for both Yuri and you, and we also recommend it. Yuri should be able to forget his past and learn that there are so many wonderful things to experience and discover. Yuri shows territorial behavior in the form of "barking." Welcoming visitors and being a guest at other places is no problem for him. Yuri can be neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and come with an EU pet passport to his new family. Only positive people who show the beautiful dog life that Yuri deserves can adopt him. Available: 27.11. This is a young, adolescent dog.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Yuri

What life with Yuri looks like

Yuri is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yuri, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yuri?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yuri on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yuri if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yuri already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yuri isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yuri and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
