The loving beagle male dog is very people-oriented and would like to go everywhere with his humans. He is very active and would probably do almost anything for a few nice treats 😊. In new situations, he is sometimes a bit reserved, but can be easily coaxed out of his shell and quickly adapts to new situations. He gets along well with other dogs, although very energetic dogs are not entirely to his liking at first. After a short adjustment period, he also happily runs over the meadows with them. In August last year, Zeus had his first epileptic seizure. Since these seizures can theoretically occur at any time, someone must always be with him. For this reason, he needs a home with people who work from home or can take him to the office. He receives his medication twice a day, always at the same time, and is slowly being adjusted to the correct dosage. As support, he also gets special food and an oil that is supposed to reduce the chance of seizures. In addition, a blood test should be done every six months to check the medication levels and the organs. Dealing with this illness is not always easy and needs to be carefully thought through. It requires a good and supportive environment that can step in when a doctor's visit or shopping is needed. Unfortunately, the costs should not be underestimated, which arise from the medication, vet visits, and laboratory tests. But it is worth it, because Zeus is a super great, well-adjusted, and kind dog who longs for a warm dog bed with understanding people. Der liebe Beagle-Rüde ist sehr menschenbezogen und möchte am liebsten überall mit seinen Menschen mitkommen. Er ist sehr aktiv und würde für ein paar feine Guetzli wahrscheinlich fast alles machen 😊. In neuen Situationen ist er teils noch etwas zurückhaltend, lässt sich aber sehr gut aus der Reserve locken und passt sich schnell an neue Situationen an. Mit anderen Hunden versteht er sich bestens, lediglich sehr stürmische Hunde sind ihm anfangs nicht ganz geheuer. Nach einer kurzen Angewöhnung tobt er aber auch mit ihnen liebend gerne über die Wiesen. Im August letzten Jahres hatte Zeus das erste Mal einen Epileptischen Anfall. Da diese Anfälle theoretisch immer ausbrechen können, muss immer jemand bei ihm sein. Aus diesem Grund braucht er ein Zuhause bei Menschen, die von Zuhause aus arbeiten oder ihn mit ins Büro nehmen können. Er bekommt 2-mal täglich, immer um die gleiche Uhrzeit, seine Medikamente und wird langsam auf die richtige Dosis eingestellt. Zur Unterstützung bekommt er zudem spezielles Futter und ein Öl, was die Chance auf Anfälle reduzieren soll. Ausserdem sollte alle 6 Monate ein Bluttest gemacht werden, um den Medikamentenspiegel und die Organe zu kontrollieren. Der Umgang mit dieser Krankheit ist nicht immer einfach und muss gut durchdacht sein. Es bedarf ein gutes und unterstützendes Umfeld, dass einspringt, wenn mal ein Arztbesuch oder der Einkauf ansteht. Leider dürfen auch die Kosten nicht unterschätzt werden, die durch die Medikamente, Tierarztbesuche und Laboruntersuche entstehen. Aber es lohnt sich, denn Zeus ist ein super toller, aufgestellter und lieber Hund, der sich sehnlichst ein warmes Körbchen bei Verständnisvollen Menschen wünscht.
