Zippa – hat ein neues Zuhause gefunden

Unknown · Senior · 12 years

ZIPPA'sFrau had an accident and had to go to the hospital. ZIPPA was first taken to the veterinary office by the police. When it turned out that she would be away for a longer time, ZIPPA then came to us as a guest. Unfortunately, ZIPPA's Frau came directly from the hospital to the care home, and thus ZIPPA lost her home. There are unfortunately no relatives who can take care of her. ZIPPA missed her Frau at the beginning, but in the meantime, she is doing better. We hope that ZIPPA will find her own home soon. ZIPPA gets along well with other dogs, as long as no one tries to take her favorite ball. You can find ZIPPA's diary with more photos, videos, and information on our homepage: www.grisette.ch. Report from the Grisette Dog Pension in the Swiss Jura: ZIPPA, Breed: Netherlandse Hond, born: 08.12.2012, size: 30 cm. Interaction with cats: unknown. Interaction with children: from 12 years old. Suitability as a second dog: yes, but she defends her toys. For more information: If you would like to meet ZIPPA informally and offer her a suitable home, please request our informal application form. If you leave a message on our answering machine, we will call you back. Alternatively, you can contact us by email: info@grisette.ch. ZIPPA is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.

What life with Zippa – hat ein neues Zuhause gefunden looks like

Zippa – hat ein neues Zuhause gefunden is a medium-sized senior dog waiting at Tierschutzbund Basel Regional.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zippa – hat ein neues Zuhause gefunden, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zippa – hat ein neues Zuhause gefunden?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzbund Basel Regional handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zippa – hat ein neues Zuhause gefunden on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zippa – hat ein neues Zuhause gefunden if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzbund Basel Regional will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zippa – hat ein neues Zuhause gefunden already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zippa – hat ein neues Zuhause gefunden isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzbund Basel Regional early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zippa – hat ein neues Zuhause gefunden and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
