Ziutek

Male · Adult · 5 years

Ziutek is looking for a temporary home with the possibility of a permanent one! Ziutek is approximately 4-5 years old, weighing around 8 kg. He is a friendly dog who loves human contact. He greets his caregivers with joy, is happy to give kisses and would love to spend as much time as possible with a human. He allows himself to be picked up without any problems and derives great joy from closeness. Ziutek walks nicely on a leash. In his previous place, he lived with other dogs and cats, so there is a chance that he will settle in a home where other animals already live. Of course, as in the case of every adoption, the introduction should take place gradually and taking into account the needs of all animals. The description is written based on observations of the dog in the shelter. Ziutek is under the care of OTOZ Animals Shelter in Tczew. Registration number in the shelter: 144/26 The dog is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and neutered. Contact for adoption: 58 531 96 56

Ziutek szuka domu tymczasowego z możliwością domu stałego! Ziutek to około 4-5-letni pies, ważący około 8 kg. About Ziutek

What life with Ziutek looks like

Ziutek is a small adult dog waiting at OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ziutek, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ziutek?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ziutek on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ziutek if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ziutek already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ziutek isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ziutek and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
