Roemenië, 9 december 2025 Een familielid van onze lieve non stuurde haar een bericht met een filmpje van haar hond Zorro… Zorro was een halve zwerver, zij gaf hem eten op straat. Blijkbaar is hij keihard op zijn rug geslagen en de jongen sleepte al minstens een week zich zo voort… Maar de familie woont aan de andere kant van Roemenie! En Roemenie is groot! Toch heeft onze liefste non alles op alles gezet en is Zorro op binnenlands transport gezet richting haar Vandaag is hij naar de kliniek gebracht en zijn er foto’s gemaakt en ik vrees dat er niets meer aan te doen is, hij is verlamd… De non geeft niet op en hoopt op een wonder en laat acupunctuur doen. Ik hoop ook op een wonder! Maar moet rekening houden met het ergste… Het is nu nog te vroeg maar toch ga ik alvast op zoek naar de speld in de hooiberg die dit arme jongetje van ongeveer 7 jaar oud onder zijn/haar vleugels wil nemen en hem een thuis wil geven. Onze collega Nicole Deutschmann van Streunerfreunde-Lugoi-Romania e. V. uit Duitsland heeft al aangeboden garant te staan voor alle kosten, ook na adoptie! Waarvoor mijn intense dank!! Een rolstoeltje, alles wat het ventje nodig heeft daar wordt voor gezorgd! Hij is zo lief! Het is gewoon onbegrijpelijk dat er zoveel rotte mensen op de wereld zijn die onschuldige zieltjes zo toe kunnen takelen… PS; daarna kreeg de non nog een bericht van de echtgenoot dat als zij hem niet had opgehaald dat hij hem dan opgehangen zou hebben om ‘hem uit zijn lijden te verlossen’… Wat mij betreft mag vandaag voorbij zijn, het is even teveel geweest… Roemenië, 10 december 2025 Er gloort een klein beetje hoop! Zorro houdt zelf zijn plas en poep op en laat het pas gaan als hij opgetild wordt. Hij wil zichzelf niet bevuilen en heeft voor zover we nu zien controle over blaas en darmen! Hij verblijft doordeweeks bij de dierenarts voor intensieve zorg en elektrische acupunctuur en in de weekenden bij een lieve foster. De da is hoopvol! Het is een geluk dat het trauma nog niet heel oud is dus laten we bidden op een Kerstwonder!! Ik, ik ben voorzichtig positief en hoopvol!!! Roemenië, 13 januari 2026 ZORRO, the warrior, maakt zijn naam meer dan waar! Een strijder, dat is hij! En met hem mee strijdt het team van dierenartsen om hem toch zover te krijgen dat hij weer gaat lopen! Hij heeft gevoel in zijn achterhand en kan zelfstandig plassen en poepen. Hij kan het dus ook ophouden! Hij heeft een operatie ondergaan, krijgt dagelijks acupunctuur en fysiotherapie. Hij woont 5 dagen in de kliniek en in het weekend gaat hij naar een lieve opvang. Het is een lange weg, een zeer lange weg! Maar Zorro heeft een grandioos team dat met hem mee vecht! Zorro, ik vecht vanaf een afstandje met je mee en zal jou blijven steunen en voor jou bidden!
