Adopt Zośka

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Zośka is the most withdrawn cat in our shelter. She arrived with two daughters—Basi and Kasia—and both are very well socialized. Unfortunately, Zośka doesn't seem to like people, not even mine. She doesn't particularly enjoy being around cats either, especially new ones. It will take her a lot of time to adjust to her new situation. Her adaptation will require time and patience, but it is not impossible—Zośka willingly comes for food, and then she can even be petted. She is looking for a home that is patient and understanding.

Zośka to kotka najbardziej wycofana w naszej kociarni. Potrzebuje sporo czasu aby przywyknąć do nowej sytuacji.Oswojenie jej będzie wymagało czasu i cierpliwości, ale nie jest niemożliwe - Zośka chętnie przychodzi na jedzenie i wtedy można ją nawet pogłaskać.Szuka domu cierpliwego i wyrozumiałego.Kontakt:- Karolina - 512 120 199 - Iza - 514 487 797

About Zośka

What life with Zośka looks like

Zośka is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Dog Rescue Poland in Warsaw.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zośka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zośka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dog Rescue Poland handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zośka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zośka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dog Rescue Poland will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zośka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zośka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dog Rescue Poland early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zośka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
