Zsaklin-2

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 8 months

Zsaklin is a lovely and friendly but shy young female dog. She was found wandering alone in the village of Orgovany on June 5, 2026, and reported to the animal shelter. It remains her secret why she was traveling alone, but she was certainly not missing and no chip was found. Even after all these years, it is still incomprehensible for us... But Zsaklin does not seem to have been on the sunny side of life so far and the Menhely may be her chance at a life as a beloved family dog. Zsaklin is now "behind bars" waiting to travel soon into a new, happy life with people by her side who will go through thick and thin with her. She is a sweet and friendly but shy puppy. Especially with strangers she is still very reserved and looks first if you mean well with her. If she feels safe, she cautiously makes contact, but she needs time, which must also be granted to her. Probably she was not welcome everywhere, in search of food, water and connection. She has already started to trust the people who know her, every day a little more and slowly begins to enjoy caresses and human closeness, which she probably did not know before. She wants contact with humans, sometimes just the last piece of courage is missing, but she becomes more curious and bolder every day. Of course, Zsaklin does not yet know the dog multiplication table and her new people must lovingly teach her step by step everything she does not know yet. With her congeners Zsaklin gets along well and a calm second dog at which she can orientate could help her to get a foothold in her new life more easily. For our sensitive Zsaklin we are looking for empathetic and loving people who initially have no demands on Zsaklin and let her come to rest. A home where she can determine her own pace. Patient bipeds, which she can trust and give her the security, love and safety that she is so desperate for and needs. Many cuddly hours, dog-friendly and age-appropriate exercise and beautiful walks will definitely make Zsaklin a happy four-legged soon. Who may show Zsaklin what's in her? She is still too young for castration, which must be done by the new owners when she is old enough. The estimated final size of 48-58cm and weight of 17-27kg are only estimates. On July 1, 2026 Zsaklin is 45cm and 11.5kg. Zsaklin can travel from around the beginning/middle of August 2026 if she has found a home or foster home.

DE·Show original

Wem darf Zsaklin zeigen, was in ihr steckt?

About Zsaklin-2

What life with Zsaklin-2 looks like

Zsaklin-2 is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zsaklin-2, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zsaklin-2?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zsaklin-2 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zsaklin-2 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zsaklin-2 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zsaklin-2 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zsaklin-2 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
