Jul er forbi, men vi har stadig en lille julemand, der holder sig i kælderen. Velkommen til Buddy, den julemand, der er ca. 10 måneder gammel. Vi tror, at han er en boulanger, en krydderstødt, der er blevet meget populær for nylig. Han er sandsynligvis en kombination af en hollandsk boulanger X mastiff. Buddy er en ung og sjov dreng, der klart ikke har haft meget socialisering eller træning. Da han første gang ankom, fandt han tingene lidt overvældende, men nu hvor han sætter sig ind, elsker han absolut at gå på eventyr med vores vandrende medarbejdere. Buddy elsker store lugter under promenaden for at lære alt om verden omkring ham. Promenaderne kan tage længere tid på grund af dette, men han har den bedste tid nogensinde! På grund af Buddys raser skal han have et hjem med erfaring med arbejdsejendomme, der tager ham til træningsklasser og muligvis deltagelse i en sport sammen med ham, så han kan holde sit sind beslægtet og opfyldt! Buddy elsker at jage sine træningsspil i haven, men det, som han elsker mest, er at knusse med sine mennesker, han er den mest omsorgsfulde dreng, der kører efter kærlighed. Buddy arbejder hårdt med sine hundesociale færdigheder. Han arbejder i øjeblikket med dette sammen med vores adfærds-team og gør fremskridt. På hans promenader med vores frivillige og er i stand til at passere hunde fra afstand uden reaktioner. Hans nye ejere skal fortsætte med positiv belønning baseret træning for at hjælpe ham med at blive i sin nye bolig. Buddy leder efter et tålmodigt hjem, han leder i øjeblikket efter et hundefrit hjem, mens han sætter sig ind. Han kan potentielt leve sammen med børn på 16+ som er hundekende og katte, afhængigt af introduktioner udført i centeret.

Buddy is approximately now 1 year old and has been with us at the centre for around 5 months. He is a young, fun, working type crossbreed, likely a Dutch Herder x Mastiff mix. Since arriving, he has grown in confidence and is now really starting to show his cheeky, affectionate personality. Buddy is a lively lad who is still working on his social skills and learning about the world around him. He can be worried by children, some new people, and unfamiliar situations, so he will need understanding and patient handling as he continues to build confidence. He absolutely loves getting out on his adventures. Buddy enjoys water, shade, and quiet wooded areas where he can enjoy stress free sniffs, bird watching, and his favourite squirrel patrol. Walks are all about exploration for him, and he takes his time soaking everything in. Buddy is very affectionate and loves nothing more than spending time with his humans. While he enjoys a good game of tug and garden play, what he values most is human company and interaction. He has been working closely with our behaviour team and is making steady progress with his canine social skills. His new family will need to continue with positive reward based training to help him continue to thrive and grow in confidence. Buddy is looking for a calm semi rural home environment where he can work on himself and gradually build his confidence. Over time, he can then be gently introduced to new experiences, people, and places outside his comfort zone at his own pace. Confident patient handlers are essential for this young exuberant boy to help him feel secure and supported. He also enjoys garden play and would benefit from secure enclosed outdoor spaces or fenced exercise areas where he can safely burn off energy and enjoy enrichment activities. Buddy has come such a long way during his time with us and is now ready to take the next step into a home of his own, where he can continue to flourish. If you are looking for a fun affectionate and characterful young dog with lots of potential, Buddy could be the perfect match. We would be happy to consider homes with resident neutered canines, multiple introductions at the centre on a weekly basis would be required.
