A karácsony már elmúlt, de még mindig ott lóg egy kis tündér a kutyakennelben. Szívesen ismerjétek meg Baddyt, a tündért, aki kb. 10 hónapos. Szerintünk egy bull herder, egy olyan keresztezett fajta, amely időközben nagyon népszerűvé vált. Valószínűleg holland herkentyű X mástiff keverék. Baddy fiatal és vidám fiú, aki nyilvánvalóan nem kapott még sok társasági képzést vagy edzést. Amikor először érkezett, minden meglepő volt számára, de most, hogy beilleszkedett, szívesen utazik a sétálókkal. Baddy szeret nagy szaglásokat csinálni a sétája során, hogy megismerje a körülötte lévő világot, ezért a séták hosszabbak lehetnek, de ő a legnagyobb élvezetet élzi! A fajtája miatt Baddy olyan otthonra vágyik, ahol jártasak a munka fajtákban, amelyek elviszik edzésre és esetleg sportot űznek vele, hogy fel tudja tartani az agyát és teljesítse magát! Baddy szeret utána rohanni a játékos játékoknak a kertben, de amihez a legtöbbet ragadja, az a kötődés az embereihez, ő a leggyengéden viszonyuló fiú, aki szeretetet kíván. Baddy keményen dolgozik a kutyás társas készségein, jelenleg a viselkedési csapattal dolgozik ezen, és fejlődik. A sétáin a önkéntesekkel képes távoli kutyákat elhaladni anélkül, hogy reakció lenne. Az új tulajdonosainak továbbra is pozitív jutalmazás alapú edzést kell végeznie, hogy segítse a növőben lévő otthonában való sikeres beilleszkedésben. Buddy is approximately now 1 year old and has been with us at the centre for around 5 months. He is a young, fun, working type crossbreed, likely a Dutch Herder x Mastiff mix. Since arriving, he has grown in confidence and is now really starting to show his cheeky, affectionate personality. Buddy is a lively lad who is still working on his social skills and learning about the world around him. He can be worried by children, some new people, and unfamiliar situations, so he will need understanding and patient handling as he continues to build confidence. He absolutely loves getting out on his adventures. Buddy enjoys water, shade, and quiet wooded areas where he can enjoy stress free sniffs, bird watching, and his favourite squirrel patrol. Walks are all about exploration for him, and he takes his time soaking everything in. Buddy is very affectionate and loves nothing more than spending time with his humans. While he enjoys a good game of tug and garden play, what he values most is human company and interaction. He has been working closely with our behaviour team and is making steady progress with his canine social skills. His new family will need to continue with positive reward based training to help him continue to thrive and grow in confidence. Buddy is looking for a calm semi rural home environment where he can work on himself and gradually build his confidence. Over time, he can then be gently introduced to new experiences, people, and places outside his comfort zone at his own pace. Confident patient handlers are essential for this young exuberant boy to help him feel secure and supported. He also enjoys garden play and would benefit from secure enclosed outdoor spaces or fenced exercise areas where he can safely burn off energy and enjoy enrichment activities. Buddy has come such a long way during his time with us and is now ready to take the next step into a home of his own, where he can continue to flourish. If you are looking for a fun affectionate and characterful young dog with lots of potential, Buddy could be the perfect match. We would be happy to consider homes with resident neutered canines, multiple introductions at the centre on a weekly basis would be required.
