Daphne est l'une de nos premiers Chiens Fantômes qui est arrivée au refuge avec ses 4 frères et sœurs il y a 6 ans. Jusqu'à récemment, nous pensions qu'il n'y avait aucun espoir que cette triste famille trouve un foyer. Alors l'année dernière, nous avons construit une cage spéciale pour la famille en pensant qu'ils étaient destinés à passer toutes leurs journées au refuge. Malheureusement, bien que cela ait amélioré un peu leur existence, Daphne était poussée par ses frères et sœurs et ne mangeait pas. Elle a donc été remise dans son ancienne cage où elle semble avoir eu une petite transformation. Daphne sort maintenant en laisse et se mêle aux autres chiens lors des visites des bénévoles. Pauvre Daphne a encore un long chemin à parcourir avant que nous puissions envisager de la relocaliser, mais avec de petits pas, tout comme beaucoup de Chiens Fantômes avant elle, nous espérons qu'un jour nous la verrons dans son propre petit home tranquille où elle pourra apprendre à être un chien aimé. Je suis encore très timide mais je rêve d'un papa ou d'une maman bienveillants qui me feront sortir de ma coquille.

Daphne is one of our original Ghost Dogs who arrived at the shelter with her 4 siblings 6 years ago. Until recently we thought that there was no hope of any of this sad family ever finding homes. So last year we built a special family pen for them believing that they were destined to spend all their days at the shelter. Unfortunately, although this improved their existance somewhat Daphne was being pushed out by her siblings and wasn’t eating. So she was moved back into her old kennel where she seems to have had a small transformation. Daphne now will come out on a leash and mix with the other dogs when the volunteers visit. Poor Daphne still has a huge way to go before we can consider to re-home her but with small steps, just like many Ghost Dogs before her, we hope that one day we will see her in her own quiet home where she can learn to be a loved dog. I’m still very shy but dream of a kind mum or dad to coax me out of my shell.
