Socks et Opie sont sœurs qui sont nées en juin 2022. Elles sont venues à Windyway car leur propriétaire déménageait et ne pouvait pas les emmener. Elles ont toujours été des chats intérieurs et cherchent un foyer où elles pourront rester comme chats de maison ou dans un espace extérieur très sécurisé tel qu'un jardin protégé ou un catio, car elles n'ont aucun sens de la route. Socks (visage noir) est un peu plus confiante des deux sœurs et est un chat joueur et affectueux qui peut être assez bruyant parfois. Opie est plus timide mais réagit bien à un contact doux et patient et apprécie un câlin et des caresses le soir - elle adore jouer avec des cordes et des jouets pendulaires. Elles ont vécu précédemment avec un petit chien sans aucun problème. Elles aimeraient un foyer sûr, ensemble. En raison de la timidité d'Opie, elle a besoin d'un ménage calme avec quelqu'un qui a la patience de la laisser s'installer et gagner en confiance à son propre rythme. Opie et Socks sont pucées et ont maintenant été stérilisées ainsi que traitées contre les puces et les vers, et ont reçu leurs premières vaccinations. Elles ont un certificat de bonne santé du vétérinaire.

Ross, born in October, 2021 (estimate), came to Windyway in June '26. He's a lovely, handsome, chunky monkey who was originally trapped, neutered and returned (hence the clipped left ear) by a different charity, as a community cat. Unfortunately the caretaker had let the cats down by not fulfilling their responsibility and Ross wandered to another neighbourhood nearby where he was not welcome. He had reverted to living on his wits, letting himself into homes via cat flaps and upsetting resident cats, in an attempt to find food and kindness. A few people took pity on him and brought him to us which is when we were able to piece together his story via his microchip. He's neutered and microchipped, and has now started his vaccinations. Ross is a lovely boy who just needs a home to call his own. He's none aggressive but, due to his background of having to fend for himself, may fare better as an only cat so he's not having to share his food and space. He is good to be handled but doesn't yet seek affection although he is showing signs that he is enjoying attention more each day - he has spent too much of his life being chased away poor chap so it's understandable that he's wary initially. Ross would suit someone who is confident in handling cats and who has the patience to allow him the time and understanding he needs while he settles into a safe and welcoming home where we feel he'll soon be asserting that he is "large and in charge"
