Bianka

Female · Puppy · 8 months

Here is a six-month-old Bianka, whose sight melts hearts, but before you grab your phone, consider with us why such a little one ends up in an animal shelter? Did she soil the carpet, and did potty training turn out to be more than just walks around the block? Did she eat shoes, or maybe she chewed the couch? Maybe another return home after work where you find destroyed things proved unbearable? Maybe the bigger teenager who jumps and bites your hands no longer became a sweet puppy but turned into an uncomfortable problem from which nothing good will come? Or maybe it's the only puppy that hasn't sold on the market because she has a deformed paw and no one wanted "a broken toy"? Bianka looks adorable, but a dog is first and foremost a responsibility and a commitment. In half a year, she won't differ much from the rest of our charges, about which no one eagerly calls anymore. We don't know her parents, what their character was like, or how big she will grow. She needs wise and aware people who will make up for her upbringing deficiencies and lead her by the paw through life. Someone with time, patience, and conditions for a large and active dog. Finally, someone ready for regular orthopedic checks and any necessary treatments for her deformed paw. If you are truly ready for such a challenge. Note: this animal has a bite history.

PL·Show original

Zapraszamy do kontaktu

About Bianka

What life with Bianka looks like

Bianka is a medium-sized puppy/kitten dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bianka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bianka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bianka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bianka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bianka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bianka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bianka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
