Ace IGListenhunde

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Ace came to us through a friendly animal welfare association. As a tiny puppy, he was part of an illegal animal transport and was seized at just 6 weeks old. This was followed by a long rabies quarantine at the animal shelter—precisely during the crucial imprinting phase of his life. Unfortunately, this meant he couldn’t receive the necessary socialization that a young dog normally needs. Ace has spent nearly his entire life at the animal shelter in Bayern. He was temporarily rehomed for 6 months, but unfortunately, living together with the resident male dog didn’t work out. Now he’s back with us to improve his chances of finding a forever home. This handsome male dog is extremely charming and very open toward people. He’s also happy to accept cuddles from strangers. He’s clever and eager to learn—and knows exactly how to use his charm. Ace loves long walks and enjoys being active outdoors. His leash manners still need improvement, but with patience and training, he’s making good progress. Ace doesn’t necessarily need fellow animals. However, walks shared with a calm, confident female dog could be possible. At home, he should definitely be the only dog—the sole prince of the household. Last year, Ace underwent cruciate ligament surgery, which went well. To support his recovery, he receives dietary supplements such as green-lipped mussel powder and collagen. Accompanying physiotherapy would also be beneficial for him. Ace is looking for people who can give him security, provide clear structure, and genuinely enjoy working with him. Anyone who opens their heart to him will gain a loyal companion with a big heart and a truly special character. ‼Please note the mandatory requirements for keeping a listed dog in your respective federal state‼ Would you like to give Ace a home? About Ace IGListenhunde

What life with Ace IGListenhunde looks like

Ace IGListenhunde is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Minden e.V. in Minden.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ace IGListenhunde, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ace IGListenhunde?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Minden e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ace IGListenhunde on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ace IGListenhunde if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Minden e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ace IGListenhunde already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ace IGListenhunde isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Minden e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ace IGListenhunde and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
