Eli for Animalsin tarha on pienikokoinen ja viihtyisä turvapaikka koirille ja kissoille vain pienen matkan päässä Bukarestista. Tarhaa ylläpitävälle Claudialle eläinten hyvinvointi on sydämen asia ja siksi hän on jo vuosia pyrkinyt pitämään eläinten määrän pienenä, jotta voisi tarjota heille laadukasta elämää myös omaa kotia odottaessa. Toisinaan tarhalle kuitenkin päätyy uusiakin asukkaita. Näin kävi kesällä 2026, kun eräs Claudian ystävä pyysi häneltä apua. Hän oli löytänyt kesähelteillä keskelle peltoa ketjun päähän hylätyn koiran, joka ei olisi ilman apua selvinnyt kauaa. Koira oli ensihetkestä alkaen äärettömän ihmisrakas kaikesta kokemastaan huolimatta. Ystävä tarvitsi koiralle paikan ja niinpä Claudia lupasi auttaa. Akira on valtavan herttainen ja pehmeä luonne. Todennäköisesti ikävästä menneisyydestään johtuen hän saattaa joskus hieman ujostella uusia ihmisiä, mutta todettuaan ihmiset ystävällisiksi hän on mitä iloisin persoona. Akira rakastaa huomiota ja läheisyyttä ja olisi mielellään koostaan huolimatta sylikoira aina leikkien ja muiden puuhien välissä. Kokemastaan huolimatta hän vaikuttaa tasapainoiselta ja lempeältä koiralta, joka kaipaisi kovasti omaan kotiin jossa saisi olla enemmän ihmisten lähellä. Akira on Romaniassa elänyt muiden koirien kanssa sopuisasti, mutta hän saattaa epävarmuuttaan haukkua muille koirille varsinkin jos nämä käyttäytyvät uhkaavasti. Hänen kotonaan voi olla ystävällinen koirakaveri odottamassa, mutta hyvin todennäköisesti Akira olisi onnellinen myös perheen ainoana silmäteränä.
