Adopt Ananas

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 6 years

Ananas – sweet female dog on the hunt for happiness Ananas is a beautiful female dog who, despite the challenging circumstances in her life, has never given up and always brings joy to the Polish animal shelter. We know very little about the past of the beautiful female dog. Ananas is a cheerful, very active female dog. She loves to run and play. She wants to be challenged, exercised, and engaged. Although she has a lot of energy, she calms down well at home and focuses entirely on her primary caregiver there. Ananas is a loyal companion who always wants to be by the side of her people. With her charm and cheerful nature, she conquers hearts in no time. In the pack, the active female dog wants to be the leader and will defend her bowl. We are looking for a loving home for Ananas as soon as possible. Her future home should allow the pretty female dog to settle in and adapt to her new environment with patience and care. After her move to her new home, Ananas will certainly need some time to adjust, but with the help of her people, she will adapt quickly and become a loyal and loving companion. Take some time to consider adopting a dog from the animal shelter. While instant love is an important factor, it should not be the sole reason for your decision. Ananas will place her faithful doggy heart in your hands and her trust in people should not be let down again. Adopting a dog from the animal shelter means taking on a special responsibility. If you are aware of this responsibility and have serious interest in adopting Ananas, please contact the responsible mediator. We would also be happy to provide a foster home. You can find the contact details further below.

About Ananas

What life with Ananas looks like

Ananas is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ananas, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ananas?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ananas on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ananas if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ananas already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ananas isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ananas and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
