Andy & Lara🌟 Meet Andy and Lara, a true bonded pair and the sweetest little soulmates you could ever hope to meet, two hearts perfectly in sync and beating as one. Andy and Lara have lived together in a home for many years and have now sadly found themselves back in our care through no fault of their own. This was a very difficult decision made by their mum, but it was done with their best interests at heart so they could find the right forever home together. These two have shared most of their lives side by side, building a bond that is completely unbreakable, and because of that they must be homed as a duo. Their love for one another is so strong and so pure, it is impossible not to feel it the moment you see them together. If you welcome Andy and Lara into your home, you truly get double the love, double the cuddles, and double the companionship, a perfect pair in every sense, two hearts, one beautiful forever story. As a senior bonded duo, we need their next home to be their forever one, a place where they can settle, relax, and enjoy their retirement together just as they deserve. Anyone applying must be ready to take on both of them and honour the special connection they share. We do not want them to be here for long, and our biggest wish is to see them back on a cosy sofa together as soon as possible. They absolutely cannot be separated, and truthfully, you would never want to, as they are at their happiest side by side. Andy and Lara are bursting with personality and will fill your home with laughter, warmth, and that special kind of joy only a bonded pair can bring. They are cheeky, sassy, and wonderfully entertaining, always up to a little mischief and guaranteed to make you smile with their silly antics. Life with them feels brighter, lighter, and full of love, like having your own perfect little duo of happiness.Andy is a loving, kind hearted boy who gives the very best cuddles and is endlessly loveable. He is confident and caring, with the sweetest, most sensitive nature, always keeping a gentle watch over his humans and especially over his soulmate, Lara. He makes sure she is happy and comfortable at all times, showing just how deep their bond truly runs.Andy is adored by everyone here, and it is easy to see why. He is goofy, sweet, and full of fun, with a puppy like charm that melts your heart instantly. He forms strong bonds with both humans and hounds, and there is not a single bad bone in his body. His calm, steady presence makes you feel safe and cared for, and he has a beautiful way of knowing when someone needs a little extra comfort. He lights up every room he walks into and is always a bright spot in our day. He loves his walks and gets wonderfully excited when it is time to go out, bouncing around happily and showing his joyful, happy go lucky spirit.Lara is the kindest soul, with a heart that glows with warmth and love. From the moment you meet her, her gentle nature wraps around you like a soft hug. She forms deep, meaningful bonds, and once she gives you her heart, it feels like the most precious gift.Lara is the perfect blend of laid back and sassy, happily melting into cuddles one moment and making you laugh with her cheeky ways the next. She has a calming presence that makes everything feel peaceful and right. She loves nothing more than curling up beside you on the sofa, getting as close as she possibly can, sitting like the regal girl she is. She knows her worth, and we absolutely love that about her.Although she is gentle and relaxed, she has that lovely greyhound goofiness that shines through when she feels happy and safe, with little bursts of zoomies and playful moments that keep life fun. Lara loves Andy deeply and shares that same open heart with the humans around her. With her, you will never feel anything less than completely loved.Together, Andy and Lara are a perfect pair, a bonded duo who bring out the very best in each other. They balance one another beautifully, shining brighter together than they ever could apart. Their connection is something truly special, a quiet, steady love that fills the room and warms your heart.Their forever family will be incredibly lucky to share life with them, as they will bring comfort, laughter, and endless companionship into every single day. With Andy and Lara by your side, your home will be filled with double the love and the kind of soulmate magic that only a truly bonded pair can bring.Andy and Lara have done incredibly well settling back into kennel life, adjusting as a true bonded pair who lean on each other through everything. They have never complained and simply get on with things, and we truly believe it is because they have their perfect duo by their side.In their kennel they are wonderfully chilled, happily spending their days snoozing side by side in peaceful comfort, like two halves of the same heart. Walk time is where their cheeky duo energy shines, both of them bouncing around with excitement, bringing out that playful, happy side that reminds you just how full of life they still are.Being an older bonded pair sadly places Andy and Lara in a more difficult position when it comes to rehoming. Senior dogs are so often overlooked, and for this beautiful duo it feels incredibly unfair, because they are nothing short of amazing. Everyone who meets them falls completely in love, and it only takes a moment to see why.Their bond is everything to them, and all they truly ask is to stay together and be loved. They have taken every assessment in their stride, calm, confident, and completely unfazed, like a perfectly balanced pair who take life as it comes. They are very people motivated, and as long as they have loving humans around them, they feel safe, settled, and content.Andy and Lara already know home life and all that comes with it, and they will slip straight back into it like they never left, a well-practised duo ready for their next chapter. They are well socialised, comfortable being left, and carry a quiet confidence in the home. They will settle quickly and easily, as all they truly want is a cosy sofa where they can snooze side by side once again. As a bonded pair, they would be perfectly happy as the only dogs in the home, as they already have everything they need in each other. That said, they do enjoy other greyhounds and could happily share their space with calm companions if the match was right, but their happiness will always come from being together as a duo.Given their age and gentle nature, we feel they would be best suited to a calm home with mature children or an adult only household. A busy home with very young children would be too much for this peaceful pair, as they thrive in a slower, quieter environment. They adore people of all ages but need a home that matches their relaxed pace of life.A retired couple would be a perfect match, offering gentle routines, quiet days, and plenty of time for cuddles. In return, Andy and Lara will happily be the centre of their humans world, sharing their love as a devoted duo.During their dog tests, Andy and Lara were absolute stars. Having previously lived with another breed, they are comfortable and unfazed around different dogs. They were tested together and happily met Blossom, walking as a trio with ease, enjoying shared sniffs and gentle companionship. They take everything in their stride and are relaxed in the presence of other breeds, showing just how well-rounded this bonded pair truly are. With the right introductions and calm environment, they could live with other breeds again, but their greatest comfort will always be each other.Everyone who meets Andy and Lara, both human and hound, falls for them instantly. They are kind, caring, affectionate, and simply love to be loved in return. This duo is truly something special, a once in a lifetime bonded pair who bring comfort, warmth, and quiet happiness wherever they go.Whoever opens their heart and home to Andy and Lara will gain something incredibly

About Andy Lara

What life with Andy Lara looks like

Andy Lara is a large puppy/kitten greyhound dog waiting at Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Andy Lara, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Andy Lara?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Andy Lara on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Andy Lara if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Andy Lara already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Andy Lara isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Andy Lara and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
