Adopt Andżela (a81)

Female

Andżela (a81) - a free-roaming cat from Jagiełły Street. My name is Andżela. I spent my entire life in freedom - in courtyards, in bushes, in basements. There I knew the rules, there I felt safe. People were somewhere nearby, but they weren't part of my world. I don't know what petting is. I don't know if one can trust someone. Today, I am in an animal shelter. I don't understand this place. It's noisy, it smells differently, there's nowhere to hide. I'm afraid every day. I had a procedure - all my teeth were removed because they were in a terrible state, I couldn't eat anything anymore... I can't go back to my old haunts. I wouldn't be able to manage. I have to stay here. I'm healthy. I use a water bowl. I don't cause trouble. I just sit and watch. I'm still learning that not every touch hurts, that one can live differently. Unfortunately, every attempt at contact is a challenge for me - I simply don't want to be touched... I won't be a cat that will immediately run to you on your knees. Maybe I will never be. But if you have patience and tenderness, if you can love me as I am - without expectations, without conditions - you might just become my first real home. Don't ask what I will give in return. I'm still learning to trust someone. Give me time. our area 20325-116 Kielce This page uses cookies according to the settings of your browser.

About Andżela (a81)

What life with Andżela (a81) looks like

Andżela (a81) is a adult dog waiting at Schronisko Kielce in Kielce.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Andżela (a81), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Andżela (a81)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kielce handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Andżela (a81) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Andżela (a81) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kielce will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Andżela (a81) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Andżela (a81) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kielce early rather than rehoming privately; they know Andżela (a81) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
